I have been married to a Russian lady for the past 10 years. Our marriage is great, I’m not complaining, she is a housewife and she takes very good care of me and our family. I honestly could write pages on everything she does for me, she is very traditional. The only problem, she is very high maintenance, she always has to wear expensive clothes, expensive jewelry, drives an expensive car, and honestly believes no other woman is better then her (but when it comes to sex, that might be true). I have never seen so much pride in a person, it does not affect our marriage, she does not act this way with me, but she turns her nose up to everyone else, and sometimes it’s just embarrassing. I’m known to have the "stuck up" wife. Is this something common with Russian women? or maybe just mine?
Also before anyone thinks it, no, shes not a mail order bride. I met her in Russia when I was there as a government contractor, and shes not a young girl. I’m 42 and shes 41.

If I get a russian bride, will it wash my car every week?

Also,
What does it eat? If I have some dog food lying around will that work?

So my husband recieved a letter dated for October, just this month. It was from a Regent Collection Agency/ Assets Management. The letter stated that he owed a large amount of money regarding a U.S. Bank account that he closed 2 years ago and that he had 14 days to reply or a lawsuit would be filed against him.
We called Regent and they told us that they woudl not provide a break down, only that part of the money was an overdraft from the closed account and the rest was interest accrued. They offered either a one time or two time payment plan where if we agreed, they would take 300 off of the total owed. They also had my husband’s social and our debit card # on file and asked when we would like to start the payments. They also said that if we didn’t pay they could take it directly out of my husband’s military account. WTF.
I called U.S. Bank to get details on the account and they had nothing. NADA. They said that we were no longer in their records whatsoever and that Regent is responsible for everything.
I called Regent back and they said that if we didn’t make the payments they would get an attorney, take us to court, and that they have a signed afffadavit from a U.S. Bank banker that would win their case. They also REFUSED to send me a copy of the letter they sent my husband or any sort of verification or proof of why we owed the money.
I have since talked to an attorney, changed my debit card and bank account #, and have recorded the dates, times and names of the people from Regent I have talked to. I also went online and found a bunch of sites that say Regent is a scam.
What do you think? What else should I do? Legally we are not liable for a debt that can not be proven…correct?

I meant 2 year old closed account.

I go out dancing and for 2 years have known this girl who is incredibly pretty, she is always looking at me and the few occasions we have spoken has flirted with me. She probably mid 20’s ,dresses and acts single but turns up with this guy who is probably in his 60’s. They don’t spend much time with each other during the evening. I plucked up the courage to ask her out but said that she was seeing somebody but would definitely go out with me if not. Everybody i have spoken to thinks she is living with him for a visa to be in the country , a sort of internet bride sort of thing and not in the position to really go out with me. I am not sure what to do or say to her as it is obvious she likes me and seems unhappy. What do think i should do ?

What the hell is up with them? Why do they agree to this, so they can divorce and take your money? Do you marry them and they leave you? I have no idea about ‘russian mail order brides’ if you know anything, please tell me. any info you have or advice. yahoo answers is made for a reason…to answer. please don’t be mean. =[

No racist against asian girls. some of them can be cool and I’m not german. I’m danish. I think its really sad when men have to resort to mail order brides. … Can’t understand why you would want to hook up with a woman like that ? these women look great when they are young. As Asian women age, their faces become flatter and broader and they tend to look brittle (prone to osteoporsis — brittle bones because of their small frames ) I know some of women of this sort can’t even speak german or english and they marry the german guys after a few days they met them, by the introduce of the other asian relatives who also got the german husband.
