All the questions on YA that I read regarding favors say something along the lines of "nobody cares about them, but I would be offended if they weren't there." However, would you notice if the favors are not from the usual golf ball/ candle variety? I am combining five jordan almonds with a couple of really pretty Russian chocolates and have written a little poem to indicate the significance of both (I'm Russian, the groom is Italian).

I am married to a very beautiful and very wonderful Russian lady, and before you think it, no she was not a mail order bride. Many years ago, I took a international job and I worked and lived in Russia for 16 months, in a city called Vladivostok. When I was in Russia, I was shocked at these women, they were all very beautiful and very feminine, but at the same time, very hard working, very resilient, and most of all, very traditional. The difference between American women and Russian women is the same as night and day. To a Russian woman, her family comes first, she will take very good care of her husband, her children, and her home. You have to understand, it's what they believe. I can't even begin to tell you how great she takes care of me and our home.
My first wife was a American woman and after the divorce I was single for 7 years and during that time, I dated many women. They all were the same, very independent, they always made it clear to me they don't need a man. Very spoiled, most everything had to be her way and expects the man to do half the house work (if not more), very out spoken, and very stubborn. I'm not saying there is not a American woman with no traditional values, but I am saying, I have never met one.
After we arrived in the USA, my wife was really surprised at the women here. First she was surprised how some looked going out in public, sweat paints, hair up, and no make up, you will never see that in Russia. Then she heard a wife can say her husband raped her, she was shocked by this, my wife says a husband has rights to his wife's body. In Russia when the husband wants sex from his wife, he just takes it. Also when she arrived here, was the first time in her life she heard of a woman not swallowing during oral sex. She asked me "How does a American women keep a husband?"
I could write many more difference's, these women are unbelievable. We have been happily married for many years and still going srtong. The men that I hear talking bad about foreign wives, it's just because you simply don't know. The women that talked bad about foreign wives, well, I guess you have every reason to.
To Larkspur, it's been 10 years now, and she still doesn't like American women. She says American men has let their women get away from them. She grew up during Soviet times, and she still believes in those ways. Is that so difficult for you to understand?

Would it be fair that after an American man murder his mail order bride, his three American born children are living in Russia with there Russian grand mother when there American father is in jail serving a life sentence for murdering there mother. Those children are duel US/Russian children.

I was doing some research and I found that Russia had about 3x the population of Ukraine.

The thing is, theirs about 5x as many Ukrainian women as Russian women listing themselves as mail order brides.

I know that Ukraine is in worse state than Russia, I'm just not sure how much worse.

The sheer volume of mail order brides comming from a country that isn't considered large by any means leads me to beleive that people are trying to get out of there in a hurry.

Have any advice? My current girlfriend was born in Russia moved to Canada at age 2, then moved to the US at age 13. Although she has no accent, she is basically 90% Ruskie because of the way her parents raised her.

Now I am wondering… She is NOTHING like the girls I normally date. Is this because of her pseudo-European upbringing, or because she has issues? Any input from a Russian girl?

Today, by chance I stumbled upon information on our computer that my boyfriend has been seriously communicating with some russian woman through a mail order bride service/website.

Regardless of my personal hurt and pain over the discovery of this news, my main concern is that my son doesn't somehow end up in Russia, or some eastern block country because my soon to be ex for some reason decides he can't live without his son, and trys to sneak off with him and disappear to one of these countries.

A friend of mine recently went with a tour group to Russia. The tour group was loveme.com. Kind of introdutionary service to meet foriegn women. He told me the women there are gorgeous love Americans, and better then anything in the states. Is this true. Is this a mail order bride service? The women he said knock your socks off. Are the just looking for a free ticket here. If I go on such a trip and bring a girl home, am I just going to get her pregant and have a expensive headache?

Should i just go travel to Ukraine/Russia and go to nighclubs?….i dont want some mail order bride bullshit….anybody any advice?……what are good clubs/bars for picking really beautiful women?

I answered a local classified ad offering payment for editing texts. The company is a Russian dating (read: mail-order bride) website, and apparently they need native English speakers to polish up their correspondences with their U.S. employees and clientele.

So far, I have edited 4 texts for them, and I should be earning some money by the end of the month, but I'm concerned this may be some kind of elaborate scam.
